The third day of the Care Leavers Festival 2022 saw talks delivered on the need for an internationally recognised Care Leavers Day. The conversation was steered by a care experienced youth from Ghana, who provided insight into the topic. A live Twitter chat was also organised by the Global Care Leavers Network in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Care Leavers Network to discuss the need for visibility for the community, better advocacy and awareness, as well as formal recognition by the United Nations.
